Just throwing out random updates so here goes....saturday morning, Christian looks in the oven and says " mmm, bacon, terrific!" yes I cook bacon in the oven, less mess that way and Tom recently told me I was plastifying fats when I microwave them.... I don't know how to avoid that entirely.
Christian pulled Isabelle about 5 feet across the yard in the wagon, little spurts at a time, in between which he would scream and throw himself on the ground and say, " I can't do it!!!!" May 4 Isabelle turns 4. She is excited and has had a cake picked out a walmart since Jan. Her memory is something, she STILL talks about things she did in the summer after she turned 2 and she's the one that brings them up.
I got more chemical free beauty products. Some lotion for the kids, sunscreen etc; oh yeah toothpaste, a neti pot, which Mitch loves. If anyway wants to know more details about them, leave me a comment, otherwise I'll save myself the type time. :) Everything I have gotten I really like and I still love my makeup. Oh yeah I DID try henna haircolor by Aubrey Organics. I don't feel as anal latley for all this because I saw on the Today show, THe View and Oprah, people talking about chemicals, parabens, fragrance etc; and even recommended some of the brands I have used!
In other random news, it's cold here today. :(

So he really likes the neti pot huh?? I've seen that work, but I think I'd chicken out. Maybe if I had allergy problem I'd try it. :-) But hey - what kind of toothpaste do you get your kids and yourself? When we're out of my kids' shampoo I'm getting them the Method brand from Target - have you tried it? Oh, and what kind of facial cleanser do you use? I'm out of my Clinique bar (which I have used for years) and I think it's a 3, but I'll try something else - walkin' on the wild side! :-)
Hope you're having a great week!
Yeah the neti pot freaks me out a little too, if my allergies bother me enough this summer I may try it...The kinda of toothpaste I bought but haven't started using yet was Jason Natural, Powersmile, All-Natural Whitening Toothpaste, Peppermint, 6 oz (170 g) . The cleanser I got and really like is Beauty Without Cruelty, Facial Cleanser, 3% Alpha Hydroxy Complex, 8.5 fl oz. I did realize it had one ingredient in it called Phenoxyethanol which rates a 4. But the cleanser overall I would think would rate low, I did look up all the ingredients at one point. I just paused and looked them up and I averaged the ingredients and I'm thinking it's more of a 1.5- 2 score overall. I'm not too thrilled about the phenoethanol stuff or the benzol alcohol. But I'm trying weigh things out and I need something that works for my oily skin while still trying to keep things low hazard. AND affordable!! Otherwise I'd probably use Laverna or whatever it's called!
ps Mitch said he wanted to see the dog fight picture lol
oh yeah and I have not tried the kids method, if the ingredients check out I probably will since I'm sure it will be cheaper.
LOL - I have a pic of Lucy's eye on my blog so he can see it there. It actually was quite worse off a few days before the pic, but I would have been a really mean mom to think "Let me get the camera!" that first day! Ha.
Okay - thanks for the beauty advice....I'm fighting a different battle - DRY skin. So I may see what they have out there for that. I've heard Jason stuff is pretty good stuff, but man it's expensive! I think the Method kids soap/shampoo is around $6.50. Use Sparingly!! I've been trying really hard to feed the kids organic or at least whole grain stuff as much as possible but geesh it's spendy.
