It's been a tiring past few days. I'm just now blogging about last Thurday's kindergarten roundup. It was pretty uneventful. It lasted for 3 HOURS, it was stuffy in there. Isabelle went off with the kids just fine, I think it helped she met a little girl named Gracie and according to Isabelle, they colored and did puzzles together. I was expecting some readiness assessment report but never got one so at least that takes some pressure off. The parents had to listen for an hour and half about the school blah blah blah. I care about the school stuff but 45 minutes would've sufficed for me. Then the parents watched the kids go in little groups through different little learning centers, one was listening to a story, the other writing there names, Isabelle was told she did an excellent job on that and wrote her name an extra time. There was a math center then a center where the cut out a bear and made a puppet. She kept up just fine with the other kids although I could tell she was getting frustrated that the other 3 kids were getting there puppets cut out a little faster... you certainly don't have to teach kids to race each other in EVERYTHING. I did feel better when one little boy asked her how old she was and she told him 4 and he say's, "I'm 5 and half. " A long, tiring afternoon, and Isabelle had come down with that virus that the rest of had and wasn't feeling the greatest so she was, as she put it " I'm beat"
More funny things the kids have said...Sunday the kids were asking us what kind of dreams we had. Christian asked me while I was getting ready for church, " what did you dream about mommy? Superman? or Batman?" Then later he also asked if we could eat at Carlos O Kelly's.
Isabelle asked Mitch what his dreams were about, he told her " I dreamt about work, and hunting." Isabelle replies, " oh were Christian and me there? did your friends at work say, hey what those kids doing here? Was I super? did I have a cape? or was I like I am right now, regular?"
This morning as I laid in bed listening to them play, I heard them in the bathroom, Isabelle was going and they were talking about babies. Isabelle was telling Christian something about babies drink milk from bottles and from " their mom's bra, it's kinda disgusting"
I HAD to blog these before I forgot!
ps no house news, one we were interested in that needed SO MUCH work got a higher offer accepted and Mitch and I at peace with that and a little ( a lot )relieved. :)

Christian's 3 year Stats
Last year at 2 years old Christian was 32" tall (5%) and 22# (-5%). This year he was 34 3/4" (5%) and 25 1/2 # (5%). I'll take it!!! I'm happy if he can be IN the percentile. And his weight moved up into the percentile also so I'm thankful for that! I'm trying to be at peace with Christian's size and know he will be however big the Lord wants him to be. ( both our moms help me with that) I know anything can happen when a boy hits puberty ( I realize they hit it BEFORE this) in late highschool or even college and he's healthy otherwise. The dr was impressed he is dry all night but said don't be surpised if when nice weather starts if he sleeps so soundly he doesn't wake up if he needs to go, don't worry. Well the other night what happens?? Wet bed. She jinxed us. :) He was dry last night so that's good! My kids have big bladders with lots of control, they can go forever, I can take them for 3hr errands and we don't have to stop, and they have major control, as in, pee a little on accident and hold the rest and do it in the bathroom... I don't think I even have that sort of control. I wish I could take credit for this somehow but I can't offer even the genetics.
So onto the shots, Isabelle's that is, she always freaks out at the last minute, I forgot they would want her to lay down and she wanted to situp and hold onto me so that sent things into a tailspin. Mitch had to hold her down and she got beat red and let out a scream, then at the last minute she calmed down right before the actual shots. She now says she is used to them and likes them better than having her finger pricked and squeezed which she watched Christian do and is now scared for that. So who knows what next time will be like. Christian did the whole finger prick, lead screening thing. ( his levels were as low as possible, GOOD) And all he said at the end was," that hurt". Isabelle however, watched in horror and started to whine and cringe at the sight of Christian. Of course I am telling, "Isssssssssabellllllle, stop. it."
Next week, Kindergarten Round Up.

Worth A Watch

Go here, to see this interview with Kathy Ireland. I loved it, she talks about why she is pro-life, her stance and they was she explained it was awesome! I also appreciated how she said God is a priority in her life and she can't not talk about the most important thing in her life. This was on our pastor's website.

More Funnies
I don't know what is with Isabelle lately but she keeps saying funny stuff, usually that's Christian but I gotta blog these before I forget.
Today at Mcdonalds where they have this fake (obviously) statue of liberty, Christian says " look!! a statue!!" Isabelle says " That's the Statue of Delivery!!"
Tonight while the kids were in the tub playing, Mitch walked by and Christian says " Daddy!! do you want to play with us??!!!" Isabelle says to Christian matter of factly, " He's not a kid anymore, he doesn't have any friends"

Happy Easter
In remembrance of our Savior's paying for our sins and conquering death, you might just enjoy reading In Christ Alone lyrics off to the right and selecting that song on the playlist. What blessed hope to get believers through each day that we are crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me.

Happy 3rd Birthday Christian Allan!
img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5322387217926068290" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeuC8n9SZZY4Iftdk68OIOZcnLeFfMrWVgP0cjvntuMrA-bQTybR5D1ee-3JHjg4XNO5tMs8nxswnSOMvoqm4hR9ZhxtWFAReo0UoI6k28BPpV2SQZkSpr30fR7F2YJGqXOeoqlI7vV64r/s320/christian+3+023.JPG" border="0" /> I took these today, I just got his race car cake done. He isn't too happy he has to wait till tonight when Daddy gets home to eat it, but he's had plenty of frosting to hold him. I wanted to do race car cake since cars are his absolute favorite. He plays with his hot wheels everyday, through out the day. He even has a couple of nascar ones and calls them by name. Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards. Any other Christian updates... well it's a pretty big deal that he's tall enough to pee in the toilet all by himself. His favorite foods are anything unhealthy chips, fries, sugar. He does love all eggs cooked all ways. And he will eat raw veggies and fruit. He's gotten better about being so picky but he's not the hugest eater ever. His snuggliness has not seemed to wane. He does keep getting funnier and ornerier. He has started shooting us with random objects, grape stems, fish sticks, his finger. So he'll be getting his first play gun this birthday. Other naughty things he does or says... he got up on the arm of the chair that Mitch was sitting in and stuck his rear in his face and said " smell my stinky buns" such great manners with this boy. He has told Isabelle she can't come to his birthday. On the other hand, they were hugging each other yesterday and he said lovingly, " I'm your big brother" not entirely accurate but sweet. A few weeks ago, Mitch shot a squirrel with the bb gun and Christian asked.." why did you shoot him??" then quickly changed his tune to " I wanna STOMP him". It's also funny when he sings the Nascar song ( since when did we become a nascar watching family... sheesh) " Let's go racing boys!" Once when Isabelle was begging to eat out after church and I had made lunch and said no, she kept bugging me and Christian said " Mommy said NO Izzy!!"
Ok that's all from me from now on my little boy!! My youngest baby is 3...it's gone fast.

A Quick Thyroid Update
I went to see my new endocrinologist up here, last Tuesday. We are going to try alternating doses of levothyroxine. 75 mcgs sun, mon, wed, fri, and 50's tues, thurs, sat. I seem to be inbetween the two doses. So we'll see what happens. I've just been beat lately. Nothing like the early days but tired lately. I think it could be lots of different things combining. But I'm hopeful... I feel like the true test will be my hair over time and my periods lasting a little longer. So we'll see...
