It's been a tiring past few days. I'm just now blogging about last Thurday's kindergarten roundup. It was pretty uneventful. It lasted for 3 HOURS, it was stuffy in there. Isabelle went off with the kids just fine, I think it helped she met a little girl named Gracie and according to Isabelle, they colored and did puzzles together. I was expecting some readiness assessment report but never got one so at least that takes some pressure off. The parents had to listen for an hour and half about the school blah blah blah. I care about the school stuff but 45 minutes would've sufficed for me. Then the parents watched the kids go in little groups through different little learning centers, one was listening to a story, the other writing there names, Isabelle was told she did an excellent job on that and wrote her name an extra time. There was a math center then a center where the cut out a bear and made a puppet. She kept up just fine with the other kids although I could tell she was getting frustrated that the other 3 kids were getting there puppets cut out a little faster... you certainly don't have to teach kids to race each other in EVERYTHING. I did feel better when one little boy asked her how old she was and she told him 4 and he say's, "I'm 5 and half. " A long, tiring afternoon, and Isabelle had come down with that virus that the rest of had and wasn't feeling the greatest so she was, as she put it " I'm beat"
More funny things the kids have said...Sunday the kids were asking us what kind of dreams we had. Christian asked me while I was getting ready for church, " what did you dream about mommy? Superman? or Batman?" Then later he also asked if we could eat at Carlos O Kelly's.
Isabelle asked Mitch what his dreams were about, he told her " I dreamt about work, and hunting." Isabelle replies, " oh were Christian and me there? did your friends at work say, hey what those kids doing here? Was I super? did I have a cape? or was I like I am right now, regular?"
This morning as I laid in bed listening to them play, I heard them in the bathroom, Isabelle was going and they were talking about babies. Isabelle was telling Christian something about babies drink milk from bottles and from " their mom's bra, it's kinda disgusting"
I HAD to blog these before I forgot!
ps no house news, one we were interested in that needed SO MUCH work got a higher offer accepted and Mitch and I at peace with that and a little ( a lot )relieved. :)

The bra thing is absolutely hilarious. I love hearing how kids think!
YES! We found a house to rent and Richard is going to check it out on Monday. If he likes it as much as we like the pictures, it is ours! It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a garage. We are pretty excited since we had such a horrible experience looking when we were there last month!
Yes - the bra thing had me rolling - esp since El keeps asking what babies eat and I try to explain they eat the milk out of mommy's belly. LOL!
And seriously - what's with our kids and Mexican restaurants? El still says her favorite is Qudoba....strange children we have...
