Today I am 38 weeks. I am measuring 38 weeks. I have gained 5 oz. I have not dilated any more than 1cm and my cervix is still long. I can't say that I'm surprised, I have been anxiously awaiting the expulsion of my mucous plug and it hasn't happened and gauging from my other two kids, that usually happens around 2 cm. So hear I am, perpetually pregnant. My... lets just say it, crotch pain/soreness continues. And I also have very sharp sudden pains as well in that region as well. Aliza has a way of settling in on one side of my pelvis in the night, depending on the side I'm sleeping on, and the pain of it is quite... breathtaking and I have painfully roll myself out of bed and get on all fours and try to move her. She's actually done this for a few months but it keeps getting worse. My nights consist of flipping over every hour and having to get up to pee until about 4 am where it's amazing to get a 4 hour block in to not have to get up, I may still have to turn. My husband has been getting great sleep downstairs as his share of the bed has been taken over by my pillows and my great big bod. His snoring doesn't wake me, and my rolling over, gasping in pain, waddling to the toilet about to wet myself because getting up triggers a braxton, doesn't disturb him. I miss him. :) We are looking forward to our spa like getaway to the hospital.... pretty sad isn't it??? :)
So the dr said we'll check next week and see if maybe we can do something before the due date. yes PLEASE. Things can happen all at once she said, which is what my children seem to due, so I hold out hope. :) I hope I don't make it to next week's appointment but I'm not holding my breath. I think Aliza's first blog quote that I blog should be " I ain't NEVER comin out!"

My dearest Audrey...I love you.
Now that that's out of the way, {wink} I will listen to you whine when you are 42 weeks pregnant with a 9 pound baby. {ahem}
Now a note to Aliza...Darling baby girl..Will you hurry up already!

wow Audrey, You are amazing. Some might think you give too much imformation, but I don't. Never having children I am fascinated with what you tell about being pregnant. Can't say I miss what you are going through. What can we bribe Aliza with to get her to be born??? Sending you a baby gift today--enjoy Aliza!!!

Amy, 42 weeks sounds like an abomination!!!! :) And yes I will be whining for the duration of this pregnancy :)
Kay, I'm glad you enjoy the frank details of my pregnancy experience!! I could tell you so much more fun stuff in person. lol i don't know what will make this child come out, I keep exercising, cleaning, staying active... I think my womb accommodations are just a little too coushy or something..
Dear Audrey-
Your openness disturbs me.

Oh Audrey - boy don't I know your crotch pain all too well....I just pray yours GOES AWAY! And the turning every hour - check! and the potty breaks - check! and the braxton's - check! Being pregnant IS super amazing but is ALSO painful! Good thing God makes them so cute, huh?
You look adorable, which I'm certain you're rolling your eyes at - but you do! Hang in there - the end is near! I'm a bit jealous you get to be surprised by the whole thing....I would (sickly) love to experience that.
Can't wait to see that pretty little face!!
