This stuff is awesome!!! We've been using it for a year. My Aunt Denise let me know about it. It reduces the severity and duration of colds. REALLY it works, for Mitch and I anyway. It's pricey, if you click on the box you can get more info about it and $1 off coupon. My money saving tip?? The box says to use one tube per dose. I actually use the gel till it's gone with my own cotton swabs. I never redip a used q-tip. It goes a lot further and I don't feel like it effects the efficaciousness ( that's a word right?? ;)) of the product. It's homopathic and just made of zinc. My friend Katie used while she was pregnant and it even helps a little bit with congestion, don't ask me why. I'm using it right now and I can tell it's keeping the cold from the kids at bay, you use it as soon you feel a cold coming on. My last cold came on the heels of another cold so I missed my window of zicamming when it was coming on but I did it late anyway. 2 days of zicamming thinking I had missed my opportunity and the 3rd was like night and day compared to day 2. Does that make sense lol?I will add this link so you are fully informed of any potential side effects. Some people had reported loss of smell and I think that was due more to the zicam nasal spray ( goes too far up the nasal passage) This article concludes that the risk outweighs the benefits but I do not agree at all.

I use the Zicam too! I used the pills that you suck on though. I wonder if there is a difference in how effective it is based on which type you use.
my aunt denise called zicam once and they said the swabs were the best. the virus replicates in your nose so that makes sense to me.
